All Kiddo carers are Working with children checked and ID verified.
What is a Nanny?
Many people looking for ongoing care often refer to this as a “Nanny” as it is more than just a casual one-off booking.

Using Kiddo’s ongoing care service, you can connect with our carers for ongoing/recurring care (many refer to this as a ‘Nanny’).

A Nanny normally has some further responsibilities – perhaps assistance with meal preparation, assisting with a family’s schedule or undertake some light duties too.
What can Kiddo’s Ongoing care service be used for?
Parents may require services of ongoing care – a Nanny, require short term care during school holidays or need assistance recurring times daily/weekly/fortnightly.

Many parents use this service to find care for a few days a week, as this aligns well with our Carer base. We do have some carers that may be able to assist fulltime, however it does depend on the availability of our carers, your job location and times needed.

We can also assist for specific date ranges as required. We pretty much can assist with whatever request you have.
How much does the Ongoing care request cost?
Kiddo’s ongoing care service allows parents to advertise their needs and connect with candidates.

In order to find you a shortlist of candidates, we do charge a $99 fee. This is an advertising fee and only charged once.

Following review of candidates, you can select your preferred carer to schedule bookings.

Then it is simply the cost of the booking per session that is debited in Kiddo.
What information should I put in my Ongoing care request?
As your request is a job ad, it is best to cover off on your high level requirements/expectations here. This is so candidates can consider this, before applying.

There is no need to put personal information in your job ad, we have this and keep it private. Should someone apply, you are then notified, and you are in control to contact them. You can do so within Kiddo app messaging to keep your personal information private.

Your personal information is only shared once you have selected a carer and they confirm your booking.
What happens if I cancel a booking?
We understand that life can change last minute, and that plans don’t always work out accordingly. If you need to cancel a booking, we kindly ask that you communicate with your carer and do so as quickly as possible. Just so they can reschedule their day and potentially be selected for another shift.

If you cancel a booking, your refund will be initiated automatically, but please keep in mind that there may be a booking cancellation fee involved. Any bookings that are not prepaid do not attract a cancellation fee.
What do the symbols mean on a Carer's profile?
When looking through our list of available nannies, please take into consideration the symbols that highlight their extra services that they may provide, or additional qualifications that may be desired by your family.

Other considerations when obtaining ongoing care
Australian workplace laws determine whether you should employ a nanny as an employee or an independent contractor. This will affect how you pay your nanny.

For a nanny hired as an independent contractor, they need to pay their own income tax on money they earn and can often be liable for their own superannuation.

For a nanny hired as an employee, pay rates are covered by the Miscellaneous Award. You may wish to document such things such as a formal agreement, duties and expectations if this is the case.
