About you

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA Approved equivalent

Jack & Jill Childcare Centre is seeking a kind and compassionate person to join our team. Our service is looking for a fun spirited, enthusiastic educator to assist in providing high quality care for children.  An applicant would hold the necessary skills and qualifications relevant to the field of childcare and be willing to obtain and learn any further skills required within the job.

Our Centre is a family owned and operated service located adjacent to the beautiful New Farm Park. We are a small service that caters for children from 15 months to school age within 3 rooms. The Centre has 2 large leafy green playgrounds that have ample space for the children to roam and explore. New Farm is located next to the city and is accessible by ferry or bus. We have free on street parking available as well. 

A successful applicant would hold a Certificate III and/or hold or be studying towards a Diploma in Children's Service, Full First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check. The applicant would have previously worked in a Childcare Centre for a minimum of one year and have a sound knowledge of the EYLF and NQF. The applicant would portray the enthusiasm and drive to work with children, and the passion to encourage the growth of all children throughout the service whilst having the ability to work in a team and strive alongside your colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for our service.

An applicant would need the flexibility to work a 30 - 38 hour week 6:45am – 6:00pm on a rotating roster, Monday to Friday. The position is a permanent part time position. We are flexible and can work alongside your prior commitments if we can. Long Day Care Service, 74 places, operating 12 hours a day Monday to Friday. We are looking for a Lead and Assistant Educators to work at our service

Responsibilities include supervision, hygiene assistance, friendly interactions with children and families, meals and assiting with weekly programing . Assisting children to extend on learning and development capabilities. Be able to work with a happy, easy-going team.

Qualifications: Certificate III or willing to study.  Diploma (or willing to study) or nearly completed for Lead Educator.

Centre closes between Christmas and New Year Period.

Must hold current Paid Blue Card before commencing, and if possible First Aid. 

Uniform shirt and hat supplied, and paid in-services (Further training).
