Qualified and experience nanny
I am a hardworking, self-motivated and determined young woman who is looking to be part of a fun and positive family. In 20** I embarked on my journey as an early year’s educator by completing training with the “Creche and Kindergarten College”, acquiring my first job as an educator for Goodstart Ashgrove. I have had the opportunity of working with children aged from six weeks to thirteen years as an assistant educator, lead educator and nanny. During this time, I was able to work with children from different backgrounds with different abilities and have some experience caring for children with special needs and twins.I find working with children to be such a rewarding career, especially when given the opportunity to work so closely and directly with families in the home environment. I am passionate about building a strong bond with the children in a nurturing environment by working with the families to expand upon the children’s skills and interests. I am very creative with a background in competitive team dancing in styles including jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet and musical theatre. When working as a nanny I like to utilise these skills as well as my love for arts and baking to create meaningful experiences and activities for the children. As a group leader in childcare, I am experienced in applying first aid and organising daily and weekly outings including trips to the museum, picnics in the park, play dates and organising extracurricular activities; all carefully planned to fit in with the families schedules and individual needs. In March 20** I left Australia to embark on a two-year working holiday in the United Kingdom. As an Au Pair, I lived and worked with a family of four in London for a year before moving to Edinburgh. As well as volunteering in a hostel for fourteen hours a week, I worked as a nanny for two families. One family was just casual babysitting and the other was a family of six. This family, with all four children under six and the twins aged two required help from dropping the children to school in the morning until serving dinner at night. My duties included cooking and serving all meals from 7am to 5pm, creating an educational program appropriate for all the children, washing, cleaning and escorting the children to their extracurricular activities.I have a calm but assertive nature, diligence in daily planning along with the ability to think on the spot as days are never the same with children. Therefore, I am confident that my skills will be an excellent fit for your family.
